This section is a bit boring out of Lake Morena. Before Kitchen Creek Road there is a great waterfall and pool below. I swam in the pool on my 2000 PCT hike. After crossing Kitchen Creek the scenery is better and once you get up into Mt Laguna the pine trees, cooler temps, and rolling trail is a treat.
